Marton village is approximately 4 miles from its nearest town of Congleton and 9 miles from Macclesfield. The main A34 which links Manchester to Stoke-on-Trent runs through the village. See maps. The Davenport Arms boasts excellent home cooked food and a welcoming atmosphere. Across the road is the village farm shop, craft workshops and bistro. The village also has its own trout fishing farm and 9 hole golf course. Marton's most notable feature has to be its 14th century parish church. |
